family of michael brown. he was killed by a ferguson police officer while unarmed april 9th. it sparked weeks of unrest in the streets of the missouri town. the police chief joined a march with protesters at 11:00 last night. an hour into the march, a scuffle broke out among the marchers. three were arrested. no word what the confrontations were about. at a united nations meeting yesterday, he claimed there was an imminent threat to our nation's subway system. isis is planning an attack on trains. several intelligence sources say there is no evidence of a current threat to the u.s. the prime minister did not say where in the united states isis planned to attack.

morning. if you're expecting a trip to the national mall any time soon, expects metal fencing. they already started to put the posts up and they will continue today. they will be dealing with a stretch between 7th and 12th streets. and they are going to be basically ripping up the grass, dirt that drains better, and then new grass. right now there are lots of balls passed and muddy patches. the soil is so compact that experts say it is like cop across the street. the grassy areas of the mall along this stretch will be closed while the work is being done. so will the walkways crossing the mall. madison and jefferson streets, the sidewalks will remain open while the work is done. 18 months is the expected time frame here. the work is expected to get under way this week. now, if you have seen the area

welcome back. faulty ignition switches are plaguing another car brand this morning. chrysler is recalling close to 350,000 vehicles. they are all from the 2008 model year, including the dodge charger, magnum, chrysler 300 and jeep commander and cherokee. the key can move out of position and cause the engine to shut off. there was one accident with no injuries due to this problem. in the next few months you could spend a lot less on gas. prices are expected to drop below $3 a gallon in several states. the national average 10 cents less than a year ago. if you wonder why, it is because the cost of ale is going down all over the world. three stations on the green line will be closed. you'll have to catch a bus

welcome back. a proposal to establish two english language high schools in prince george's county is being criticized as segregation. the schools will focus on immigrants, specifically latino students. supporters say it can put the students on a better path to graduation and lower drop-out rates. but the naacp says it's unfair and illegal. they say it separates a group from t majory and violates the fourteenth amendment. d.c. schools taking a look at its drop out rate as well. a survey organized by mayor gray said 40% of the's ninth graders
